But she made the trip to Ethel’s Chocolate Lounge four times.
“It’s a place to go to get happy,” Tuckman said.“The atmosphere is so cute and comfortable. It’s my favorite place to go in Evanston.”
Not alone in her love for the lounge is Alyson Weiss, a cherub from Spring, Texas, who like Tuckman, has found comfort in the lounge. After a trip to the lounge during the first week of the program, Weiss said she decided to return because she “loved every moment of the experience.”
Ethel’s Chocolate Lounge is located in Evanston on Davis Street, within walking distance from campus. The menu includes single chocolate truffles and malts, large pots of fondue that comes with apples, marshmallows, cookies and pretzels, and snacks that any person would love with chocolate.
Cherubs often frequent the lounge after a night at the movies. Elizabeth Rowe, a cherub from Lake Forest, Ill., and Alexa Fogler, a cherub from Cincinnati, visited the lounge after seeing “Hairspray.” They said they loved the chocolate and cocoa for two.
“It’s pretty affordable if you have four to five people in your group because you only need to pay $4 to $5 for fondue,” said chocolate enthusiast Aisha Hasan, a cherub from Woodbridge, NJ.
Hasan said she enjoyed the fondue and hangingout at the chocolate spot of the summer. |
